Hi, I'm 15, about to get my license, but I NEED to go somewhere tonight. My parents' only reason for not letting me drive is because they are misinformed as far as what the penalties would be if I got stopped. I've recently cancelled my car insurance and started a van insurance and used my no claims bonus from my car for the van, I've now decided that im best to keep the car and im wanting to insure it again, I got quotes without my no claims bonus and its stupid prices even though I said that I have the no claims on the van If I used the no claims on the car it brings it right down to a more sensible price Can I use my no claims bonus on two cars? Ok so I got my Service/MOT, Insurance and Road tax at the end of the month, I've been driving for 1 year now and touch wood I wont crash by the end of the month to get my 1st year no claims. I currently have a Renault clio 1.2 However in about 6 months I would like to change to a Audi A3 1.6 as my insurance will be cheaper with the 1 year no claims. (Had to get a 1.2 for the 1st year as Insurance would be crazy) I am currently getting quotes from Admiral and Diamond insurance for a annual fee of about 670 or Monthly installments that come to 1000, so Ideally I will just pay the full year off. But as I said in 6 months ill change cars and by the time Ill sell and buy a new car there could be 2 months where I'm not even driving, and don't want to pay for insurance for not even driving about. I can't find on these dam insurance sites about if i can put my insurance on hold (Admiral). Not sure if I will get charged if I put it on hold or not, as all these insurance company's are very sligh. and Should I pay the Road tax for the whole year or just the 6 months? I don't have insurance (I know it was stupid to get prego with no insurance) but I know I can get TennCare. If I take a note from the health dept nurse to dhs, when will my insurance start?
